Don't Miss THE 2 BEARS at Coachella!!!

I'm really hoping The 2 Bears (Joe Goddard of Hot Chip & Raf Rundell) don't play much earlier than 2pm at Coachella next Saturday because it's tough to get my ass into the festival much before that time even when I'm only a short walk away in the campgrounds. Their set is sure to be a good one!

Yeah Yeah Yeahs' new album Mosquito isn't set to be released until 4/16 but you can stream it, in its entirety, & listen to the band introduce each song with a little additional information RIGHT NOW!!! And, as I expected, it's absolutely FANTASTIC! I am SOOO excited to see them again at Coachella in 8 DAYS!!!

Deerhunter Premiere New Track Monomania on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Last Night

Things got weird on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night.

Deerhunter premiered their new track Monomania & Bradford Cox revealed his new persona Connis Lungpin, donning a black, shaggy wig, a silky, animal-print, button-down shirt & bloody, bandaged, stumpy fingers. The lead singer then proceeded to wander off stage & through the studios at the end of the performance. He snatched a cup of water out of the hand of a woman standing in the hallway, drank it, spit the water out, threw the cup on the floor then walked to the elevator, pushed the elevator call button & leaned against the wall. Then the song was over...lol. It was definitely unusual for a latenight TV show, single song performance but it was also memorable!

Bradford Cox has always been an oddball & he seems to be getting weirder but, because he's so talented, I think it just makes him that much more interesting. I can't wait to hear the rest of Deerhunter's new album!

Yacht & Poolside @ All Bands On Deck! @ Santa Monica Pier - 3/30/13

I always know when I've had a little too much fun (& possibly hit the sauce a little too hard) at a concert based upon the lack of footage I got. Last Saturday night was the perfect example. I had an absolute blast dancing my ass off all over Santa Monica Pier with a huge, fantastic crew of some of my favorite people & Yacht & Poolside both put on AWESOME shows YET I didn't take a single photo or video...oops! On the bright side, at least I didn't lose (or break) my camera!!
