The Dodos @ El Rey Theatre - 4/8/11

I was recently raving about The Dodos after hearing their latest album No Color:

I'd eagerly been awaiting getting to see The Dodos live for the 2nd time at El Rey Theatre in LA & for good reason. They were PHENOMENAL last night!!! Drummer Logan Kroeber was particularly impressive playing on his drum kit that's minus a bass drum. And, although I couldn't see it last night, I've read that Kroeber performs with a tambourine taped to his shoe. That helps explain at least one of the other instruments I heard but couldn't actually see.

There are SO many layers to The Dodos' music & the only way to properly appreciate those layers is to see them live. They're just like WOW :-)
