Before Tuesday night, there were 2 women on my list of favorite, modern-day, female rockers (Karen O & Alison Mosshart) but, after seeing Heartless Bastards KILL IT during their almost 2-hour set at The Echoplex the night before last, I now have 3 women on that oh-so-coveted list. Erika Wennerstrom of the Heartless Bastards is one bad ass chick. Her voice is PHENOMENAL & she SHREDS on guitar. If Janis Joplin, Melissa Etheridge, Beth Gibbons & Chrissie Hynde had a baby, her name would be Erika Wennerstrom.
